Imagined Waterscape during Cherry Blossom Season

Giclée print, 2024
140cm x 100cm, Private commission

Inspired by traditional Japanese ukyio-e prints, a colourful type of woodblock prints common between the XVIIth and XIXth Centuries, this large format illustration addresses one of the preferred topics during Edo’s period: natural Japanese landscapes, often marked by cherry blossoms, native bird species and peaceful waterscapes.

Cannonball (Jazz Trio Part I)

Giclée print, 2021
30cm x 40cm

Cannonball Adderley’s “Waltz for Debby” is the first song I remember to recognise as a child. The first part of my Jazz Trio illustration series is vaguely inspired by his striking figure.

Saxophone Jazz Girl

Giclée print, 2024
30cm x 40cm

Drawing the intricate details of the saxophone is an amusing challenge. The aim here was to take this one step further and complexify its mechanisms, in a contrast with the female player, depicted in smoother, cleaner shapes.
